Surf City Gold

Wowza, what presence~

Surf City Gold came to us from MD’s Beyond the Wire after he came out of his last race in January 2024 with a tendon. We gave him plenty of time off and it has totally healed- in fact it is very hard to tell which leg it was (left front.) He also had surgery on his right front pastern to insert screws to repair a fracture- he went on to race successfully and a surgical repair fixated with screws results in a totally strong, uncompromised limb.

Surf City came out like a pro for his first ride (see video). Nothing bothered him although he wants to curl a bit behind the bit, but we are sure in another ride or two he will start to reach more over his top line. He has three lovely gaits, and is barefoot and sound with no vices.

Surf traces to Speightstown through his sire, Golden Ticket, winner of over $1.3M, and has AP Indy up close on his dam’s side. He has super cool roaning through his coat as well.
