Still Having Fun

We are so excited to take this guy to the 2023 RRP Makeover on Team MAHR! Still Having Fun was a super racehorse- a graded stakes winner of over $640K, he was claimed away from his connections. When they had the opportunity, they claimed him back just to retire him and we were lucky enough to bring him to our program through MD’s Beyond The Wire. Stevie is super cool- we turned him over to our junior riders and they have done all of the retraining on their own. He has been very easy and they have done a great job with him. He has gone to quite a few local dressage and hunter shows, bringing home nice ribbons, and has been well started over fences. We didn’t want to push him to jump at the Makeover, so he will be competing in dressage and competitive trail, and will is qualified for the TIP championships as well.

Stevie’s class has shown throughout his retraining- nothing bothers him and he is happy and willing to do whatever is asked. We are excited for his future, and whoever adopts him will be lucky to have him in their barn….

Update 10/19- Stevie is back from the Makeover, he was super in both dressage and trail- he has proven himself to be unfazed by hustle and bustle and new places and new things. Lovely on the flat although his left lead is still a little harder to get- well started over fences. Uncomplicated, friendly, and happy for a job. He doesn’t seem to have high level aspirations although he is not limited- he just is a mellow fellow. He has been hacking and swimming and all sorts of fun stuff and has been game for anything we have asked of him. Great first TB too!
