Shooting Zar

Lightly raced filly, uphill build~

Shooting Zar came to us after just one start from her connections at Delaware Park. She had a knee that bothered her a little after that race so they opted to retire her. We gave her more than enough time to heal – we got so busy with horses coming in and out, and she should have started back in work in the spring but kept getting pushed to the end of the line….which is too bad because she is a super nice sweet filly.

She came to the main farm just a week or so ago, and has been perfect since she got here. Video is of her first ride- she has lovely natural balance and a great mouth. She is clean and sound and barefoot. We do have followup xrays of the knee and they are clean. She is very friendly and easy to get along with. She loves attention , and is always right at the gate to say hello.  The future is bright for this girl!

UPDATE: A vet exam revealed that Zar has some uveitis in her right eye. It doesn’t bother her at this point and can be managed if it does become an issue….
