Shackqueenking

Ch.g., 17.0h, 2018. 2025 RRP Makeover eligible. Adoption Fee: Adoption fee $1000-

Top racehorse now a top dressage prospect~

Shackqueenking was a fan favorite in the region- graded stakes placed, Shack had a record of  17-7-2-5 with earnings of almost $450K. His final start was in the fall of 2022 with a 3d place finish in the Grade 2 Kelso. He injured a tendon and had off until the next year- he worked consistently from May-August of 2023 when his tendon started to bug him again. They put him away until spring of 2024- he had one work in April but the tendon started to carry heat again so his connections retired him. We gave him some turnout time and have recently started him back. He is a big, good moving horse who knows he is a celebrity.  He has a ton of presence, and we feel he would be best placed in a non or limited jumping home.

We have posted his most recent video- uncut- so you can see he is a good feeling horse- at the racetrack we say they are happy! Shack does not have a mean bone in his body and loves people and doing stuff, but needs a rider who will laugh at his jokes and keep riding through.

UPDATE- July-Shack is totally loving his new life here. He has been lovely to ride and we have even had couple  more tentative riders on him and he has been rock solid and kind. He was vetted by an adult rerider- on that day he was slightly positive to left front flexion and moreso right hind. Our vet looked at him a few days later and he was totally sound on the left front, negative to palpation and flexion. His right hind showed sensitivity to hoof testers- he had some soft bruising- so just needed a little time there. The potential adopter decided to pass, but we know his perfect home is out there!

Up to date on everything. Backed by our program’s reputation of honesty and transparency. All MAHR horses  can come to our series of all TB clinics here in MD for FREE.
