Redeeming

Ch.g, 16.1h, 2017. 2021 RRP Makeover Eligible Adoption Fee: $2000- ADOPTED

Talk about slow!

Red was purchased by Bev and Tom as a weanling from his breeder. He always had the best care. Bev did all of the early ground work (long lining, lunging) and Andie broke him. Red went to the track as a two year old, spent the year galloping and growing, and this year as a three year old returned to start doing some (hopefully) speed work. Although Red always did his best, he was simply SLOW. Bev and Tom decided to retire him to MAHR rather than try to make him something he wasn’t ever going to be (FAST.) He is quite happy here at the farm. Nothing bothers him and he is an easy ride. He even went western before he left the track. Red is a great first thoroughbred and thinks he is a big dog. Never misses a meal. Good to load and ship. Complete history on this guy!

Note: He did have a bout of cellulitis in his left hind at the track as a two year old, and once again as a three year old. His left hind is always a bit filled and prospective adopters must watch if it ever gets reinfected and put him on antibiotics. We have never had any trouble with him on the farm though as he got regular turnout- the only two bouts we had were at the track where he was stall kept.

Up to date on everything. Backed by our program’s reputation of honesty and transparency.
