Lou was brought along slowly by his breeder/owner/trainer. He has just two starts as a 3 year old and developed a tendon. He was then given plenty of time off and brought back- after two works in early summer 2019, his tendon started to carry a bit of heat so his connections retired him rather than compromise his future as a sport horse. Lou came to us from Beyond the Wire. He had plenty of down time and now is back in regular work with no issues at all. Lou is super quiet and easy to ride-perfect first thoroughbred. Quiet on the trails, quiet in the ring. His stable manners are fine now- once in awhile he needs to be reminded he is not a big dog! Self loads on the trailer. What’s not to love??
UPDATE-After Lou arrived in SC, Heather found out he was a non sweater- she was able to manage this with supplements- he was subsequently adopted to a great home further south but unfortunately the adopter had trouble managing his lack of sweating so we took him back. He is a super guy, very easy to ride, and his condition is managed with supplements- and it might be better if he went to a home in the northern part of the country.
