Little Theodore

Only 5 starts on this guy~

Little Theodore came to us from Maryland- he was in a load of horses that shipped out of the track on a questionable stock trailer – with the help of the MD Jockey Club and Beyond the Wire, we were able to intercept four, including this guy. After quarantine and updated vet work, we brought him to the main farm to restart — and he has been absolutely lovely.

Teddy is very sweet guy, clean and sound, and a nice mover. He is currently barefoot and a bit immature. We expect him to fill out and grow as he matures. This guy is a clean slate and would suit a kid coming off a pony or adult amateur- but nice enough to go far with a pro. You can also aim for new TB $how$ being offered this year.  He seems to have the perfect temperament to do the Makeover. Video is of his first ride here~

UPDATE- Teddy found a home down south quickly but it didn’t work out- he started cribbing, and along with a few other concerns on the part of the adopter- signs of juvenile arthritis in his hocks and some changes in his back rads- we took him back. We have had our vets from both Equine Vetcare and New Bolton look at the rads and go over him and they do not feel there are any really limiting issues, although he may or may not need maintenance down the road (just like any horse.)

He has put weight back on and has matured a bit. He is in work now and happy to have something to do. He is sound and barefoot and a good guy- but he does now crib.
