Lantau

Lovely event prospect~

Lantau came to us from MD’s Beyond the Wire after not hitting the board in five starts this year. This guy is going to be a star in his new career- he could go any way. He is balanced and forward with a lovely natural frame and movement. He reportedly had knee surgery in the past- current xrays show a small non displaced chip in his right knee which does not bother him, and no arthritis is present. He is barefoot and sound with no vices. Lantau is forward but not hot- he is a super event, jumper, or dressage prospect. He is super friendly on the ground and loves doing stuff.

New video posted 2/15 – his flat work is really coming along- when he arrived, he was very crooked, didn’t steer all that well, and wanted to curl and get the job done- a typical raacehorse. As he has learned to accept the leg, we are working on straight, relaxed, soft, and stretching over his top line- we are not too worried about the leads yet- it is a work in progress as he gets stronger and can stay relaxed and balanced rather than tuck his head and lean on the bridle. This is a seriously nice upper level prospect! He loves learning this stuff…
