Kathak is another super Beyond the Wire (MD) graduate now ready for a new career. He is a very naturally balanced, easy to ride gelding in a small dark bay wrapper- but don’t let his size fool you, he has all of the talent and feel of a bigger horse. He placed third in his first outing as a two year old in a Maiden Special at Keeneland, and then sold in January of his three year old year for $60K- and broke his maiden in a Special next out at Monmouth– and that was it. He hit the board a few times but didn’t live up to expectations as a runner, preferred the turf, and was retired. Kathak (rhymes with AFLAC) has a great personality and is sound with no injuries and a good mover. He came in with recently pulled shoes so was tender footed initially- his feet have grown out and toughened up and he is doing fine barefoot. Great horse for a kid or adult amateur too~

All MAHR horses receive $200- towards lessons or training thanks to the ASPCA® On the Right Track Voucher program and can come to our series of all TB clinics here in MD for FREE. Adoption fee $2200-. /$1700- if adopted in January.
Update 1/18- Kathak has been a star but his potential adopter decided she didnt have the time to bring along a young horse, so he is available.

Update 5/9/20- the state of MD is now open for riding, but we must practice social distancing, masks, etc.
MAHR will pay final entry and stabling fees for any horses attending the 2021 RRP Makeover.
