This guy was pulled from the kill pen early this year- he didn’t have a tattoo and was pretty poor- we weren’t sure if he was a TB or not but had enough of a TBish look and was out of options, so we bought him hoping that perhaps he did have a chip or we could DNA him. When we brought him to the main farm to start him in work, it was quite obvious he was not all TB, hence his name! He is a lovely horse though- three nice gaits, good bone and feet, no vices, and easy to ride. We don’t know his history or how he ended up where he did, but he has not put a foot wrong since he has been with us. He has good basics under saddle although he was a bit curled behind the bit when we first started him, so we are thinking he had been ridden in draw reins or some sort of bitting rig.
This guy is easy going and an easy keeper. We will start him over fences shortly to see what he knows there.
Adoption fee $2000- ADOPTED!
UPDATE: It never fails- as soon as we made him available he got an abscess in his heel- it is now drained and dry but the sensitive frog is exposed so he is now sore and we will have to wait until it keratizes…..there are quite a few people waiting to see him. We have a list started.
