Fantastic Memories (Ellie)

Safe, fun mare with lots of miles.

Ellie came to us several years ago when her owner moved out of the area and could not keep her. She had a great foundation and had shown successfully in the hunter ring. We subsequently placed her with a former adopter who did a lot of ring work, trail riding, and even took her hunting. Unfortunately her adopter had some major life changes and returned her to us, in order to make sure she would get another great home. After Ellie came back, she developed a quarter crack which bothered her-we now have a bar shoe on that foot and she is sound without any meds. She will need a bar shoe though, until the crack grows out–if it grows out. It will take a year- but it is certainly manageable now. We thought we had a great home lined up, but that person was worried about the quarter crack. Ellie is very safe and easy to ride- just leave her alone and let her do her job. She is a good jumper as well, always finds her distance.
