Equal The Score was rescued from a kill pen after his racing career ended in June 2019- we have no idea where he was between then and now. He was wearing road shoes when he came from the pen, so someone was riding him. He has been returned to good health and recently started back in work. He is such a sweetheart- friendly, kick ride, steady, and solid. He has good bone and is barefoot and sound. He does make a noise in his wind, most likely from a tieback- so although it does not limit him, it would count against him in the hunter ring- but that’s OK, he really isn’t built like a show hunter anyway! He would probably benefit from regular work and some more chiro work to get him stronger through his topline.
Update 1/24- Equal started having a little trouble holding his leads behind at the canter, so we need to put some time into him in order to build up his strength….but now he is getting worse, so he will be evaluated by our vet …..
Update 3/3/21- Unfortunately Equal won’t hold up to regular work — he is very quiet and sweet and needs a light use home- trails and light ring work- walk trot preferred. Confidence building buddy….
