Jack is a war horse with earnings of over $100K in 40 starts. He ended up neglected and in a kill pen after his racing days were over and with the help of our supporters we were able to buy him and bring him to the farm. He does have some arthritis in both knees and is best suited as a companion. He is big and sweet, a little shy until he gets to know you.
All MAHR companion horses are up to date on vet, dental, and farrier work. We do transfer ownership and require a $1- fee and contract. They cannot be resold but must come back to MAHR in the event they are no longer needed. We will deliver them and pick them up.
UPDATE 8/23- Jack (also known as Tico) came back through no fault of his own- he is now looking for another companion home. While he was in his former home he did a lot of ground work and natural horsemanship and would love to have that engagement again- he loved the attention!
