This guy is a thoroughbred??

Yes he is, although you might not believe us. This solidly built son of Munnings retired in 2022 with over $130K in earnings. He was placed by his connections along with Big Secret with a policeman friend who wanted a horse for trail riding in 2022. Unfortunately the man’s wife became ill and it became hard for them to care for the horses. The trainer called our friends at Beyond the Wire and they called us.

Both horses needed a bit of time to regain some weight and condition. Big Secret was the first one we restarted and he found a home right away. Degas had a huge access on his left hind foot and needed time for that to grow out- he is now recovered and ready to go. He is an uncomplicated ride and very happy to do whatever is asked. He has no known limitations and is suitable for an adult rerider, as a husband horse, or for a kid, although he is a beefy dude.

Our apologies for how fuzzy and dirty he is- we figure time in the saddle is more important at this time of year-we can either spend an hour grooming or tack up and ride…
