One of the kindest guys around!

 

Baron came to us from MD’s Beyond the Wire. He won three races and was in the money a total of 10 out of 19 starts, earning over $75K- but that was done on heart. He retired with old fractures in one front ankle and the other front foot, and according to his xrays he should not be sound–at all— but he is. He is the shining example of “ride the horse not the xrays”- however we want him to have a long happy life so we are placing him as a companion or low level (think occasional walk trot trails and ring) riding horse. He is 2021 RRP Makeover eligible but only if your makeover plans include an easy freestyle or trail division. Baron is extremely friendly and gentle. He has so much to offer-barefoot and sound on no meds. Down the road he may need maintenance though- we just don’t have a crystal ball, but he will always have a place here at any time in the future. 

Up to date on everything. Backed by our program’s reputation of honesty and transparency. Adoption fee $1-

All MAHR companion horses are up to date on vet, dental, and farrier work. We do transfer ownership and require a $1- fee and contract. They cannot be resold but must come back to MAHR in the event they are no longer needed. We will deliver them and pick them up.

Update 5/9/20- the state of MD is now open for riding, but we must practice social distancing, masks, etc.

MAHR will pay final entry and stabling fees for any horses attending the 2021 RRP Makeover.
