Burke came to us from his racing connections. After he retired he did a bit of everything– and did it well– trail rides, hunter paces, events, and even lessons! Last fall for some reason he kicked the stall wall (horses!) and chipped his hock- it is now about healed and he is ready to go back to work. His former owner decided it was time for him to find his person, as she is super busy at the track- and called us.
Burk has been a total gentleman since he arrived. Big and beefy but kind and forgiving. We have current X-rays of the hock and upon advice from our vet had it injected. It is possible that he may benefit from some sort of maintenance in the future but he is not limited..Barefoot and sound. Perfect for a novice….Don’t miss out on this guy!
Update 6/12- the potential adopter decided to pass, worried that down the road his hock might bother him- as we stated above, it is a possibility but not a given- we have current xrays- super nice horse!
Up to date on everything. Backed by our program’s reputation of honesty and transparency. All MAHR horses can come to our series of all TB clinics here in MD for FREE.
Adoption fee $2500- ADOPTED
