Abdaar came to us from Scott Lake’s barn at Delaware Park. We were instantly impressed with his confident, unflappable attitude and natural balance. He has been an easy horse to restart, and is well started over fences. We have also introduced a variety of trail obstacles and he takes it all in stride. We could see him succeeding in any discipline. He would be a great first thoroughbred – and he has the talent for a rider with higher aspirations. Ships well, stands in crossties. Abdaar is a cribber. Deep red coat and a mane with white hairs interspersed throughout.
UPDATE: Abdaar went to the Fair Hill TB show where he picked up some nice ribbons in the hunters and pleasure. A week later, he went to KY for the RRP Makeover but was a bit overwhelmed by all of the sights and sounds, so we only schooled him, and did not compete, as we felt it was in his best interest to withdraw. He is back home in MD now and ready to go. His flat work is lovely and he is very careful and athletic over fences.
ADOPTED!
