Thaddeus was originally sold by his trainer through CANTER Delaware 5 years ago. Somehow he ended up at a low end auction where he was picked up by a dealer. They called us and our friends at CANTER-Delaware bought him and brought him to us.
We don’t know where he has been or what he has been doing since 2019 but he has gotten right into the program here. He is an easy kick ride with three nice gaits. He doesn’t have much of an idea about jumping–yet. His manners in the barn are a work in progress, as he is a bit pushy on the ground. He is a solid honest guy though, and we could see him as a good choice for a novice or even a lesson program. We will get him out hacking this week weather permitting. In the meantime, who wants a Secretariat look alike?
In his old listing it was noted he had a sore knee- but time heals, his knees are tight and he is barefoot and sound, no vices.
UPDATE: Thaddeus’s ground manners are really coming around quickly, yay! We had his teeth done and the dentist said they were about as sharp as any horse ever- he is much happier with the bit now. Morgan rode him in our Sally Cousins clinic and he was awesome- very steady and nonplussed about the busy activity, and jumped all of the little stuff beautifully.
Up to date on everything. Backed by our program’s reputation of honesty and transparency. All MAHR horses can come to our series of all TB clinics here in MD for FREE.
