One Crazy Ride

Rockstar status~

One Crazy Ride came to us last fall- he retired from racing in the spring and then spent the summer working as a pony. He was having trouble with chronic abscesses so came to us. We pulled his shoes and turned him out until two weeks ago. We brought him to the main farm and started him back- his former owner gave him a super foundation and it shows- he was a super star!. After just two rides we sent him to the Fair Hill TB show-he stabled there overnight and did four flat classes the next day, pinning in every one, without any schooling or prep. Later that day he went for a hack around Fair Hill and didn’t bat an eye at anything- bridges, tunnels, water, deer…

Rider is clean and sound and barefoot. Nice guy who wants a soft rider. We started him over fences, where he showed a lovely way of jumping.

UPDATE 11/7- a pre purchase exam showed signs of pedal osteitis in his front feet, most likely from all of the abscesses and concurrent inflammation he had last year, so he is best suited for a lower level career. He has so much to offer!

UPDATE 11/12/24- we have had two other vets review his radiographs and they do not feel he will be limited. The old saying is if there are five vets, you will get five opinions—We have films that we are happy to send to any vet if you are interested!
