B.g., 15.2h, 2011 Adoption Fee: $500-ADOPTED

Beginner friendly guy~

Pal came through our program years ago and was placed in a great home- but when the older herd boss passed away, Pal became very dominant and protective of his mom, and she wasn’t able to manage the herd dynamics. Since he has been back he has been fine but does need someone on the ground who will be a leader- otherwise he will push the limits- but once you correct him he is cool.

Easy for a beginner who is confident and assertive on the ground. Pal isn’t a big mover but is very steady- great on trails, barefoot and sound but does crib. He really does not like ring work, so we are looking for a trail riding home.

Update- Pal had been adopted but then was returned- he had gotten very crabby in the barn and under saddle, When he came back he was wearing a super tight cribbing strap- one we had to pry off. We took it off and treated him for ulcers and he is much better now. He can still be a bit pushy so needs someone to set firm boundaries on the ground. He will need a refresher under saddle but does not do anything bad….we pulled him out of the field and threw the tack on and he was a little crabby doing circles in the field but was happy then going for a hack.
