I’d Like To Know is one of those unicorns, a great example of the amazing qualities of an OTTB. He retired from racing because his feet were a bit sore and he wasn’t competitive- we gave him a month or so at our rehab farm and he just arrived. We were excited to start him in work as he seemed so unflappable- and he is all that and a box of chocolates. He is now barefoot and sound and a lovely mover. That trot and canter are incredible and he doesn’t even know how to carry himself yet! He stood at the block, and quietly went around WTC both ways- nothing bothered him.
He is a little light right now- we call it the “hide behind the barn phase” that some go through, but he is starting to fill out and with work will have a nice neck and topline. He is a cribber- that is the only negative we have found- but they all cant be perfect…
