This handsome guy was very well bred by one of MD’s top breeding farms. He had pneumonia as a foal, though, so they gave him away. Fast forward to January 2022, and he found himself in a kill pen- lucky for him, Jacqui donated to pull him and bring him to us. After quarantine, we brought him to the main farm to start his evaluation. He needed weight, worming, and some muscle, but was definitely broken to ride. Jack is a nice mover, very quiet and full of personality but as you can see, he is very green- we are working on installing the go button. (see his work in progress video) He is barefoot and sound with no vices.
Update April 2023- Anonymous (Barn name Jack) has grown up and is now ready for a home- he was just such a baby when he came in, so we ended up just giving him time to grow up. He is going well under saddle and has matured greatly- still green but a good guy with an uphill build who wants someone to continue his education.
Up to date on everything. Backed by our program’s reputation of honesty and transparency. All MAHR horses can attend our series of all TB clinics here in MD for FREE.
Update November 2023- Jack came back to us as his adopter didn’t really have time for him. We are giving him some reschooling now and he should be ready soon….
Update December 2023- When he came back, he obviously had intimidated his adopter and was trying to convince you he was naughty in order to get out of work, but Kylea just ignored him and kept him working- he is very good now- he will sometimes shake his head, or try to stall but that is going away. Jack is a lovely mover, and more of a kick ride. We have introduced ground poles and he has even hopped over a little x very willingly. He will thrive in a program with consistent work- we only ride him once or twice a week if we are lucky LOL…
